Introducing new administrators and assistant director
LSR7 is pleased to introduce three new assistant principals on our team. These assistant principals were approved at the June Board of Education meeting. Additionally, we welcome Ms. Lindsay Salazar as our assistant director of nutrition services who began her service in May.
Mr. Lee Barger – Assistant Principal at Summit Lakes Middle School
Mr. Lee Barger will be the new assistant principal at Summit Lakes Middle School for the 2019-2020 school year. Mr. Barger has most recently served as an Instructional Technology Facilitator in the Park Hill School District. Prior to his role in the Park Hill School District, he was a teaching and learning coach and technology coordinator in the North Kansas City School District and an Instructional Technology Specialist in LSR7.
Mr. Barger earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Missouri State University, his Master of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in technology from Webster University, and his Specialist in Education from Arkansas State University. Mr. Barger begins his service at Summit Lakes Middle School on July 1, 2019.
Mr. Brian Linquist – Assistant Principal at Pleasant Lea Middle School
Mr. Brian Linquist has been named as an assistant principal at Pleasant Lea Middle School. Mr. Linquist earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Missouri, his Master of Science in Education – School Administration from the University of Central Missouri, and his Educational Specialist in School Administration from the University of Central Missouri.
He has most recently served as a principal and assistant principal in the Kingsville School District. Prior to that he was a teacher and coach at Pleasant Lea Middle School. Mr. Linquist begins his service to LSR7 on July 1, 2019.
Dr. Joe Dan Vendelin – Assistant Principal at Lee’s Summit High School
Dr. Joe Dan Vendelin will be the new assistant principal at Lee’s Summit High School beginning July 1, 2019. Dr. Vendelin joins the Lee’s Summit High School team after serving as the assistant principal and activities director at Pleasant Lea Middle School since 2010. Prior to his service at PLMS, Dr. Vendelin was a principal in Mt. Vernon, an assistant principal at Kickapoo High School in Springfield and assistant principal at Hillcrest High School in Springfield.
Dr. Vendelin earned his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Education Missions Studies at Evangel University in Springfield, his Master’s in Education from Evangel University, and his doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University.
Ms. Lindsay Salazar – Assistant Director of Nutrition Services
Ms. Lindsay Salazar was named the new assistant director of nutrition services for LSR7 this spring. Ms. Salazar replaced Ms. Lori Danella who became the director of nutrition services earlier this year. Ms. Salazar began her service in May.
