LS R-7 School District, ATS Heart Check to offer heart screenings for children, young people

The Lee’s Summit R-7 School District is joining forces with ATS Heart Check to offer heart screenings for children and young persons from 5 to 8 p.m. June 27 at the Lee’s Summit High School Lecture Hall.

The screening cost is $129, and screenings are for individuals from age 8 to 25. To register and schedule an appointment, visit ATSHeartCheck.com. The screenings are designed to detect unknown heart conditions. According to ATS Heart Check, most heart defects can be identified and are treatable.

The heart screening includes blood pressure, electrocardiogram and echocardiogram (heart ultrasound), all delivered by specially trained medical professionals.
