LSR7 invites you to participate in Thoughtexchange online forum about diversity, equity and belonging
As you are likely aware, we have been having conversations about equity work in our school district. We have approved a district-wide equity plan and launched an equity webpage that details goals and timelines associated with the plan. The website also provides access to downloadable data sets, research, executive summaries and presentations. We hope you’ve found these resources helpful in understanding some of our initiatives around diversity, equity and inclusion.
With this, we’re also interested in your perspective around diversity, equity and inclusion. To gather your feedback, we’re again using a tool called Thoughtexchange. All of our voices matter, so your participation is crucial and valued.
Our Thoughtexchange forum seeks to hear perspective from multiple voices to use as data, feedback and research in our work moving forward. We want to provide a community platform to discuss equity while garnering areas of support and identifying areas of challenge.
In short, we want to include you in the conversation. We hope you join us in offering perspective.

You’ll be asked to respond to one open-ended question, consider and assign stars to some of the ideas shared by others (20 to 30 is ideal), and learn what’s important to the group. Your thoughts and stars are confidential. You can come back as often as you’d like to participate and, in fact, we ask that you do come back to star some of the new ideas shared since you first participated. The ratings will help us understand the most important areas to focus on for our work moving forward.
Participation will be open until Sunday, June 16. Thank you in advance for your input and feedback – it’s valuable as we seek to listen and hear multiple perspectives.
