
LSR7 Students Earn Recognition in Special Olympics
Eight students from the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District earned honors in the first-ever Virtual Summer Games through Special Olympics Missouri.

Cedar Creek Elementary
- Rhys Burke, silver for plank and bronze for 150-foot run
- Joslyn Sabol, gold for plank, gold for swim kicks and bronze for wall sit
Pleasant Lea Middle School
- Julius Jones, gold for plank, gold for 150-foot run, gold for wall sit and bronze for standing long jump
- John Scheuer, gold for standing long jump, silver for speed dribble and silver for 150-foot run
- Nolan Skelsey, gold for speed dribble, gold for standing long jump, gold for 150-foot run, gold for swim kicks and silver for wall sit
Lee’s Summit North High School
- Quentin Ford, gold for speed dribble, gold for standing long jump, gold for 75-foot run and bronze for 150-foot run
