Students from all three LS R-7 high schools to participate in nationally-televised Citrus Bowl Parade

Students will participate in the Citrus Bowl Parade as the unified Lee’s Summit R-7 School District

On Dec. 29, marching band students from Lee’s Summit High School (LSHS), Lee’s Summit North (LSN) High School and Lee’s Summit West (LSW) High School will march in the nationally-televised Citrus Parade in Orlando, Florida. Students will participate in the parade as Lee’s Summit R-7 School District, representing Tigers, Broncos and Titans. Approximately 300 marching band students from all three high schools will participate in the parade.

Lee’s Summit students will wear their respective high school uniforms and will wear an LSR7 hat. Flags and banners will also display the LSR7 logo.

Additionally, the LSN and LSW choirs will be performing in the Candlelight Processional at Epcot Center and the LSHS and LSW orchestras are participating in a movie soundtrack recording session together. The LSN orchestra is performing at Downtown Disney.

See the story about their preparation for the trip in The Kansas City Star. For more information about the parade, visit http://www.orlandocitrusparade.com/.
