Summit Tech and LSR7 middle school students dominate the state round of the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition
LSR7 students took home gold, silver and bronze in both the high school and middle school divisions of the State Round of the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition, part of the CyberPatriot program.
CyberPatriot aims to educate and motivate students toward STEM disciplines, including cybersecurity, which has a predicted job growth of 32% through 2028.
Summit Technology Academy students won first, second and third place in the Platinum Tier. All teams of LSR7 middle school students qualified for state semifinals, Summit Lakes Middle School students won 2nd and 3rd place, and Bernard Campbell Middle School students won 1st place.
