LSR7 elementary students participated in the first-ever Missouri All-State Children’s Choir
Four elementary students from Lee’s Summit R7 were chosen to participate in the first ever Missouri All-State Children’s Choir during the annual Missouri Music Educators Conference this year. These four students were selected from hundreds of Missouri fourth and fifth graders who auditioned to be a part of the 170-voice choir.
The students spent hours on their own and with their music teachers learning the music before spending the day rehearsing with this year’s conductor Joshua Pedde, artistic director of the famed Indianapolis Children’s Choir. Later in the day, the choir performed for parents, friends, and Missouri music teachers.
