Tiger Smart, Bronco Smart and Titan Smart will participate in their annual “Freeze Out” from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6 in front of Lee’s Summit High School.
Students will remain outside for four hours. During this time, they will collect clothing, especially coats and winter apparel, to be donated to local charities. Community members are encouraged to drop off their donations at the school’s Building A south entrance, near the tiger head.
Senior Ally Lawrence has spent the past month preparing for Red Ribbon Week, when members of Lee’s Summit North’s Bronco SMART club visit feeder elementary schools to promote their Better Education about Resistance Strategies (BEARS) program to keep kids drug and alcohol free.

This year an additional focus will be on collecting donations of new or gently used shoes as part of the Shoes for Orphan Souls program. Community members are encouraged to drop off their donations at the school’s Building A south entrance, near the tiger head.
