Thank you to those who completed our community telephone survey and/or online surveys relating to a potential Spring 2020 “no tax increase” bond issue. We are currently in the information gathering stage of preparing for an anticipated “no tax increase” bond issue and are working with Patron Insight to finish compiling the survey data. The first round of telephone survey topline data was presented to the Citizens’ Advisory Committee and the Board of Education this week.
Recall that in August the Board of Education approved this board priority:
Board Priority Two: Ensure equitable access to future ready learning environments by further engaging stakeholders in the continued implementation of the Comprehensive Facility Master Plan by identifying preK-12 facility projects in anticipation of an April 2020 “no tax increase” bond issue.
At the regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, September 25, 2019, the Board of Education unanimously voted to approve moving our 6th graders to the middle school environment, beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. This move will be in conjunction with proposed facility projects relating to the middle school environment through our CFMP work.
As we’ve been releasing information about our Comprehensive Facilities Master Plan (CFMP) work teams that have been meeting throughout the spring and summer, we’ve also been working through recommendations with our Board of Education, our CFMP team and our Citizens’ Advisory Committee. We hope you’ve had time toreview presentations and overview information from some of these teams.

As we are concluding the school year, we wanted to share some information with our families regarding our District’s Walk Zone Audit conducted this year and our secondary bus route changes that will go into effect next year. This audit and our route research was conducted in conjunction with our Comprehensive Facilities Master Plan (CFMP) process.
Phase II work in the Comprehensive Facilities Master Plan (CFMP) process is currently underway in our school district. The CFMP team has reconvened to continue providing input and feedback for our process action teams and planning teams that are currently meeting.
