Helping Nutrition Services Director Lori Danella plan school lunch menus and participating in learning activities surrounding food (this month the group explored radishes) aren’t the only initiatives the Elementary Nutrition Council is tackling this year.

LSR7 is pleased to introduce three new assistant principals on our team. These assistant principals were approved at the June Board of Education meeting. Additionally, we welcome Ms. Lindsay Salazar as our assistant director of nutrition services who began her service in May.
At Meadow Lane Elementary, all LSR7 students 18 and under can receive federally funded meals at no cost to them Monday through Thursday, June 3rd to June 27th. Breakfast will be served from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m., and lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Adults may purchase a meal to enjoy with their children for $3.25 (exact change necessary, please).

Starting Tuesday, February 19, 2019, the LSR7 Nutrition Services Department is launching salad bars in all 18 elementary schools. This step is part of an ongoing effort to improve healthy eating in our schools by making the healthy choice the easy choice.
